Junior Database & CRM Marketer
Join our team as a Junior Database & CRM Marketer!
Do you enjoy working with data and want to see what it does in practice? Are you eager to learn how customer data turns into campaigns for the Dutch and German market? If so, we would like you to become part of our Retail Marketing team! You start with three months of tailored training and coaching, so you quickly master the role.
We are a boutique bank located in the heart of Rotterdam
Since 1992, DHB Bank N.V. has been a key player in the Dutch market. From our headquarters in Rotterdam, we serve private customers with our savings products and offer tailor-made financing solutions to our customers in several European markets. DHB Bank also has offices in Germany and a representative office in Istanbul, Turkey.
Support functions such as Retail Marketing, IT, Operations, Compliance & Legal Affairs and Human Resources are based at the headquarters. The bank's relatively small size, centralized organization structure, and focused business activities are key drivers of its flexibility in responding to changing environments and customer needs. DHB is regulated and licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank, the Central Bank of the Netherlands.
About the role
As a Junior Database & CRM Marketer, you are the link between data and daily retail marketing for both the Dutch and the German market. You make sure our campaigns reach the right customers, and that we learn from every result.
You work with Xperience by Kentico for marketing automation and email, SQL for selections and Power BI for reporting.
To give you a strong start, you follow the Excellence Program - Specialist Track by Data Consulting Group in your first three months. Senior data consultants train and coach you in SQL, Power BI, data visualisation, segmentation, campaign management and marketing automation, all built around the work you do in this role.
As you grow in the role, you take on more complex analyses and bring your own ideas for new campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Data quality: Safeguard and improve the quality of our marketing database.
- Campaign execution: Make target group selections, set up marketing automation flows and run email marketing for both countries.
- Dashboards and reporting: Own the regular retail marketing dashboards and build new ones to evaluate campaigns.
- Segmentation and analysis: Analyse customer behaviour, build smart target groups and spot triggers for new campaigns, such as activation, cross-sell, deep-sell and retention. Run quick one-off analyses when the team needs insight.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your German colleagues to align campaigns across borders, and with IT, Compliance and Operations to keep everything legal, secure and efficient.
- Own initiatives: Pick up projects that interest you and bring your own ideas. At a boutique bank like DHB, your work is visible and makes a real difference, and a proactive attitude is valued.
About you
DHB is looking to attract motivated starters on the labour market and juniors with up to two years of experience who want to build a career in database and CRM marketing. This role is also open to candidates without professional experience but with a relevant higher education degree.
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, for example marketing, data or business, and you are eager to learn database and CRM marketing.
- You have worked with SQL and Power BI, for example during your studies, an internship or a side project.
- Experience with Python for ad hoc analyses is a plus.
- You are comfortable with data and numbers, without losing sight of the marketing goal.
- You are down-to-earth and structured, and you like to get things done.
- You communicate clearly, without hiding behind jargon.
- You have a good command of English and Dutch.
- You value data privacy, confidentiality and integrity.
