Position Profile
The system administrator is positioned in the IT Run team within Information Technology department. The system administrator reports to the Engineering Manager (IT Run) through team leader.
In this position you will work closely with other team members to ensure DHB Bank’s IT infrastructure assets are kept updated & secured at all times. Work closely with IS department to ensure systems comply with information security policies.  Assist with Helpdesk requests (tickets), vulnerability & patch management, Backup management, asset management and IT continuity.
To be successful as a system administrator, you should be well versed with domain environment, understand DNS, DHCP, VPN & basic networking concepts. Most importantly you should have expert analytical & troubleshooting skills. Be a team player, eager to learn and take ownership. Have in-depth knowledge of current best practices and keep updated about emerging trends and technologies. Top candidates will also be excellent communicators, able to put the ideas clearly across the team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • As part of the IT run team involve in day to day routines and be a point of contact for business users.
  • Provision, prepare, install and configure various windows and Linux operating systems. 
  • As part of team, ensure that configurations of newly prepared systems confirm to the information security policies of DHB bank.
  • As part of team, ensure all assets are patched and kept updated in line with the procedures.
  • Ensure all assets are clearly marked and all CI kept updated in CMDB.
  • Monitor daily backup jobs and take necessary actions in consultation within your team.
  • Be the first point of contact for business users and following helpdesk tickets, providing satisfactory & quick resolutions. Provide desktop support.
  • Assist in disaster recovery program supporting other IT team members.
  • Share innovative ideas within the team and follow up of the latest technology and trends, applying as necessary to fulfil business needs.
  • Educational background; preferably a technical study like computer science or information science and job related certifications and/or trainings like MCSA/MCSE/RHCSA/RHCE/CCNA.
  • Two or more years of technical experience required, ideally in secure IT environment.
Skills & Languages:
  • Strong social and communication skills required. Key features are: motivated, analytical, structured thinking, quality oriented, team player, eye for organization, efficiency and flexibility.
  • English language skill is required both in verbal and in writing.
